THE CULINARY BRIGADES

by la tablée des chefs

The Roquette Foundation for Health supports the association “La Tablée des Chefs” in its project THE CULINARY BRIGADES.

La Tablée des Chefs France, a social-purpose non-profit organization (franchise of La Tablée des Chefs in Canada), is made up of committed chefs, volunteers, and students from hospitality schools. Its action is focused on two key areas:

  • Educate: Practical workshops to teach young secondary school students the basics of healthy, seasonal eating and to encourage their independence.

  • Nourish: Mobilizing chefs, volunteers, and hospitality school students to prepare meals for food aid programs.

THE CULINARY BRIGADES

“THE CULINARY BRIGADES” project targets young people aged 12 to 15, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds or facing academic challenges. Organized in middle schools located in priority areas, the workshops alternate between theoretical sessions on healthy eating and hands-on culinary practice, all supervised by volunteer chefs. The program includes ten themed workshops and culminates in a national final in Paris, bringing together the best teams, as well as an international France-Canada event since 2024.

The goal is to teach young people the basics of a balanced diet, strengthen their independence, develop their culinary skills, raise their awareness of health, and promote their social inclusion.
