The AgroParisTech Foundation, recognized as a public utility, supports scientific research and academic excellence. It funds research projects, student scholarships, and entrepreneurial initiatives within the AgroParisTech ecosystem. The ANCA Chair (Food, Nutrition, Eating Behavior), founded in 2010 by the AgroParisTech Foundation, is integrated into the Laboratory of Physiology of Nutrition and Eating Behavior (AgroParisTech/INRAE). Through action-research programs, it aims to understand and support behavioral changes among 18–35-year-olds towards healthy and sustainable eating using innovative, rigorous tools proven in a scientific framework.
Launched in 2024 by the ANCA Chair, the action-research program aimed at students (18-25 years old) titled “Flex Your Plate” aims to promote a more plant-based diet with better nutritional and environmental quality. It aims to:
During a three-week intervention, the project team raises awareness and educates 220 voluntary students about sustainable eating through a fun educational program distributed on WhatsApp. This program includes recipe videos, culinary tips, scientific explanations, and an in-person cooking workshop. In parallel, the team enhances the students’ food environment by introducing healthier food options in school cafeterias and organizing community nutrition events. This action is then analyzed and scaled up, potentially reaching over 30,000 people.
