20 000 meals

by HOP HOP FOOD

HopHopFood is a French association, founded in 2016 by three committed citizens. It operates through a diverse ecosystem of partnerships and its geolocated “solidarity anti-waste” application.

This application facilitates the connection between donors and beneficiaries, allowing them to collect baskets of fresh and quality products (fruits, vegetables, dairy products, pastries, etc.) directly from partner professionals.

20,000 MEALS FOR STUDENTS
IN HAUTS-DE-FRANCE

The project “20,000 meals for students in Hauts-de-France” aims to distribute 20,000 meals over two years to young people under 26 through two initiatives: the multiplication of partnerships with various establishments (restaurants, shops, hotels, canteens, event venues), and collaboration with the Restaurant-Ecole Solidaire le Bouillon Baroque, in partnership with GHR Hauts-de-France, where the service will be provided by people distanced from employment.

Currently, 65% of HopHopFood beneficiaries are students living on less than €3.50 per day. Faced with increasing food insecurity and the daily waste of fresh products by businesses, HopHopFood fights against these two problems by ensuring access to healthy food for young people in difficulty while creating employment and training opportunities in the restaurant industry for people distanced from the labor market.
