Jagathi Foundation works directly in the areas of education, women’s empowerment, health, and the environment, thanks to 1,000 volunteers. It has supported hundreds of thousands of people through material distributions, awareness campaigns, and empowerment programs in India.
The Amrut Aahar project builds on the skills of tribal women by enabling them to produce, in a centralized kitchen, nutritious millet-based packs for disadvantaged children. This initiative promotes both healthy nutrition for children and the financial independence of the women, who are paid at the minimum wage. Two health packs are produced and distributed each week through this local organization.
