HEALTH ON MY PLATE

BY DAILUSIS ORNAMENTAS

Dailusis Ornamentas is a public institution based in Panevėžys, Lithuania. Founded in 1998, it was one of the first in the country to develop artistic and health-related programs for socially excluded people with disabilities and their families. The center provides comprehensive support by combining artistic expression, social inclusion, and life skills development.

HEALTH ON MY PLATE

People with disabilities and their families often face social exclusion. The “Health on My Plate” project involves 30 to 40 participants, supported by 3 staff members and 2 volunteers. It focuses on building skills in healthy eating. The program includes conferences on nutrition and its impact on health, followed by hands-on workshops to apply the knowledge gained. The project also collects recipes and healthy eating tips from participants to publish a recipe book promoting balanced and accessible meals.
