Charité Solidaire is a French association founded in 2017. It operates in the cities of Lens and Arras to support homeless individuals and people living in extreme poverty. The association’s volunteers carry out outreach missions (“maraudes”) throughout the year to distribute food parcels and build connections with people living on the streets.
Charité Solidaire’s project aims to improve the contents of the food parcels distributed during its outreach activities in Arras and Lens. In addition to food, the association seeks to include a complete hygiene kit for both men and women, a basic first-aid kit to assist individuals with minor injuries who lack access to care, and a hand-crank flashlight to help homeless people see at night.
These additions respond to real needs identified in the field by volunteers who interact daily with the beneficiaries.
