Unibes is a Brazilian institution founded in 1915. It is committed to promoting social justice and encouraging the autonomy of thousands of people in vulnerable situations. The organization operates in the fields of education, food, health, and social inclusion, through grassroots action in underserved neighborhoods.
Unibes provides monthly food baskets to underprivileged individuals and serves around 5,000 meals per day across its facilities. In response to social isolation, the organization also distributes basic food packages to thousands of families, along with food vouchers. In 2021, over 22,590 food baskets including hygiene and cleaning products and more than 12,500 food vouchers were distributed to address the growing social emergency.
