School & Trees is a French non-profit organization founded in 2019, following a world tour undertaken by its two founders. During their time in Uganda, they discovered the local educational and environmental needs. The association aims to contribute to the educational and economic development of Ugandan villages while actively fighting global warming.
The project involves the creation of a pilot farm with 120 laying hens and the establishment of an orchard planted with 100 fruit trees. In this orchard, a separate plot will be planted with acacias and will host 50 beehives. The eggs, fruits, and honey produced by these new structures dedicated to feeding the children of the nursery and primary school St Mary in Kinyteke-Kahokya will significantly enhance the protein and vitamin content of their daily meals.
