APAE BARUERI

The Associação de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais de Barueri (APAE Barueri) is a Brazilian association created in 2017. It supports individuals in vulnerable physical, nutritional, medical, or intellectual conditions, including those with multiple disabilities or on the autism spectrum, as well as their families. The association promotes a holistic approach in partnership with families and communities, defending fundamental rights and individual dignity.

NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTATION

The APAE Barueri project aims to create opportunities for personal and social development for impoverished children and youth with disabilities. The goal is to assess the impact of an oral nutritional supplement on children diagnosed with malnutrition. This program spans a full year and is specifically intended for children with a formal diagnosis.
With a budget of 5,000 euros (approximately 27,000 Brazilian reals), the association will be able to provide these nutritional supplements to more than 10 families, following an individualized approach, while integrating their families into the support process.
